GOALS builds collaborative partnerships with outstanding teachers, coaches, and other leaders that enable groups of kids from a common entity to experience a wilderness river expedition together.

We are always looking for additional outstanding leaders who seek opportunities to empower the kids they work with through experiences like those we provide.  It is important to clarify that you do NOT need river running skills to be a GOALS leader - there will be professional guides in charge of that.  Rather, you need to be a dynamic, compassionate, motivating mentor who can leave a life-long stamp of inspiration on the kids you're leading.

Our goal is to get as many kids involved as possible, and to make the process as simple and enjoyable as possible for you as a GOALS partner.  Here's how it works:

STEP 1.  SUBMIT AN APPLICATION.
We admit it - we're picky about the folks we select to lead GOALS programs.  If you think you're the best of the best at connecting with and empowering young people outdoors, please CLICK HERE to introduce yourself by submitting an Adventure Leader application.

STEP 2.  CHOOSE AN EXPEDITION.
If selected to join the team, your next step will be to review the expeditions we have available and choose one that is best suited for the kids you're planning to lead.  If you need suggestions, please contact our office - we're happy to help you find—or create—the perfect expedition for your group.

STEP 3.  ENROLL PARTICIPANTS
A GOALS representative will assist in your recruitment process by providing promotional materials, then scheduling and delivering an informational meeting for interested kids and their families.  After we leave, you'll use your relationships and rapport to recruit kids, and we'll be available to connect directly with interested families to answer any questions or concerns.  If you're able to enroll just 8 children, your expedition costs will be covered.

STEP 4.  ATTEND A TRAINING
GOALS will host a series of leader trainings during the spring before our expedition season gets under way.  We require that every partnering leader attend one of these trainings to gain a clear understanding of their roles and responsibilities - as well as what they can expect from GOALS.

STEP 5.  ENJOY THE FEELINGS OF EXCITEMENT,  SUPPORT,  AND ACCOMPLISHMENT!
We'll handle enrollment, payment, scholarship, etc. details for your participants - and will keep you informed as they develop.  We'll also connect you with the GOALS staff member(s) you'll work together with to change young lives on the river.  In the end, we want you to feel a real sense of accomplishment for the work you're doing - and thereby will make the process as smooth as possible for you - before, during, and after your expedition.
